Stonington Lighthouse

Choose a Country RR, Group 67, from Tumblecat

Stonington Lighthouse, was erected in 1841 to take the place of an older light tower on the point which was undermined and eroded away in 1840. The Lighthouse Building is now maintained and operated as a museum by the Stonington Historical Society. It now contains many relics of Stonington's historic past.
