Alki Point Lighthouse

North America meets the world RR, Group 100, from Neitel

Alki Point Lighthouse, Seattle, Washington

In 1887, a large oil lamp was installed on a wooden scaffold to become the first lighthouse of Alki Point. The Alki Point Light Station was placed in operation in 1918. Operated by the Coast Guard, it is visible from many parts of Seattle as well as to mariners. It is one of the familiar landmarks of the Puget Sound area.
