Corydon Capitol State Historic Site in Corydon, IndianaThe First State Capitol (1816-1825) is situated in the center of Corydon's National Historic District. The historic district includes many of Indiana's foremost landmarks. Corydon was also the scene of Indiana's only Civil War battle on July 9, 1863 during General John Hunt Morgan's Great Raid through Indiana and Ohio.
